Qualifying began Monday for people wishing to run for McComb municipal offices, judicial posts and congressional seats.
McComb Mayor Quordiniah Lockley filed to run for re-election Monday.
The qualifying deadline for city elections is March 1.
Primaries are May 3. A runoff, if needed, will be May 17. The general election is June 21.
The new term begins July 1.
Pike County Court Judge John Price has announced plans to retire at the end of this term.
County prosecutor David Brewer and McComb attorney Jason Tate both filed qualifying papers Monday to run for his post.
Circuit court judges are David Strong and Michael Taylor in District 14, which includes Pike, Lincoln and Walthall counties.
Circuit judges in District 6, which includes Adams, Amite, Franklin and Wilkinson counties, are Lillie Blackmon Sanders and Debra Blackwell.
Chancery judges are Debbra Halford and Wayne Smith in District 4, which includes Amite, Franklin, Pike and Walthall counties.
