Updated: Dec 31, 2022

Long-serving Pike County Prosecutor David Lee Brewer, 50, of Summit, announces his bid for the Pike County Judge's seat that will be vacated upon the anticipated retirement of Judge John Price at the end of 2022.

The son of the late Roy Brewer and Ganeath Brewer Daniel and step-son of Sam Daniel, Brewer is the husband of Deidre Brewer and has been a practicing attorney for twenty years. He is a Pike County native, a veteran, Christian, a Freemason, Shriner and an an avid outdoorsman.

Brewer ran for the circuit court judge's seat against incumbent Mike Taylor in 2018, losing the campaign but winning Pike County by a large margin. He is hopeful that prior local support will carry forward. He explains:

“The people of Pike County have been kind to me over my decade plus tenure in office. While I am certain other local candidates will take this opportunity as well, I have the most experience practicing in the County Court, having practiced there two to three days a week since 2005. As the prosecutor in each, I have a complete understanding of the County Court, the Youth Court Division and the Youth Drug Court. I will continue to serve the people of this county with commitment, compassion and fairness. Please vote David Lee Brewer for Pike County Court Judge on November 8, 2022.
